Philosopher's Wool Kit is done!

Hooray! I finally finished my Philosopher's Wool cardigan kit that I bought at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Fest in May of 2003. Here's the photo evidence:

I knit the body of the sweater in the round and then cut the armholes and the front, like I did for the Poetry in Stitches sweater earlier this year. It was much less scary this time.

I've also been working on my convertible Knitty shawl, made out of lovely bamboo that I bought in Paris. I love bamboo! It's so soft and wonderful to work with. It does tend to catch on things and pull out strands, similar to cotton, but I've been able to deal with that so far.

Hello! I found your blog through the "heathen housewife."

The finished projects you post are beautiful. After four years of knitting, I am just starting to cautiously put a toe into fair isle-- I cannot imagine knitting socks with it, much less lovely sweaters.

(My blog has been deserted for a lifejournal. I'm but a waif of 13, so I don't blog entirely about knitting yet... Yet.)
